Fostering Positive Feedback and a Growth Mindset
An IATEFL monthly webinar presented by Roxana Arean
In this webinar we will focus on two key, related concepts when it comes to improving our students’ learning journey. When teaching, no matter our learners’ age, we have a huge responsibility as we’re not only working with their cognitive skills but also with their emotional brain and yet their most vulnerable asset: their mindset.
Is Positive Feedback just about being positive? What should we focus on when giving feedback: the process or the student? Why?
What is the relationship between Feedback and students’ mindset? What’s your mindset as a teacher and as a person?
In this webinar, we will delve into the relationship between the two and will gain a deeper understanding of our learners’ journey from a scientific perspective.
Growing as individuals and working on our own self-development will undoubtedly improve our professional career. Understanding ourselves and being empathetic towards our students’ process is key to truly make a change in today’s education and the generations to come.
