IATEFL ReSIG International Festival of Teacher-Research in ELT: Teachers Research! Online 2023

Teachers Research! Online 2023 is a conference organised by the IATEFL Research SIG and sponsored by the A.S. Hornby Educational Trust’s Decentring ELT initiative. The event will bring together teacher-researchers from various educational backgrounds and countries to present poster sessions focusing on their inquiries and discoveries. The online conference, taking place on 17 and 18 March 2023, offers a unique, participant-centred approach that puts teachers’ insights at the forefront, allowing for interactive discussions and a sense of community among participants.

The conference’s innovative format will allow presenters to showcase their research through brief poster sessions and ample time for breakout room discussions. The event will also include plenary sessions that feature groups of teachers and mentors who share their expertise and experiences. Participation in the event is free for IATEFL members and non-members. However, registration is required before 15 March 2023.

ReSIG PCE 2023: ‘Teacher Research and inclusion and social justice in language education’

We invite you to join us on Monday, 17 April, for the IATEFL ReSIG Pre-Conference Event (PCE) at the ‘IATEFL 2023 Harrogate’ annual conference. This year’s PCE will focus on Teacher Research and inclusion and social justice in language education. Our goal is to provide practical tools and showcase initiatives from different teaching and learning contexts worldwide while discussing innovation, challenges, and opportunities in this dynamic area.

The day will feature a plenary workshop on autoethnography as a research approach and learning tool with a social and inclusion perspective, as well as Showcase and Poster presentations highlighting Teacher Research and/or inclusion and social justice in the Global South and North. An expert panel discussion and plenty of networking opportunities will also be available.

This event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded educators and 
researchers who are passionate about advancing inclusion and social justice in language education. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and look forward to seeing you in Harrogate 2023!

ReSIG Showcase Day – Harrogate 2023

Join us for an exciting day of learning and networking at the IATEFL ReSIG Showcase Day on Thursday, 20 April, as part of the ‘IATEFL 2023 Harrogate’ annual conference.
