'General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the language teacher'

An IATEFL webinar presented by Yvonne Chappell

Many of us as teachers have access to the personal data of students but how many of us are aware of the legislation relating to student's personal data? I am currently working for a company that gives training and advice to all types of enterprises on how they should treat personal data. Enterprises that do not treat personal data correctly have been fined (including teaching organisations). In this webinar you will learn how to treat students data and the pitfalls to avoid.

Presenter: Yvonne Chappell

Yvonne Chappell originally comes from the North of England but has lived in France for the past 11 years. Yvonne has taught English in Grande Ecoles, Universities, secondary and nursery schools, and in companies. More recently she has started working for a company (Data Privacy Professionals) that works in the area of GDPR but still continues to teach English on a voluntary basis.
