IATEFL Jobs Market: Recruiter Terms and Conditions
In posting a job in the IATEFL Jobs Market, or at the IATEFL Careers Fair, the recruiter must be aware of and agree to the following terms:
The job posting
- Job posts will be uploaded to the IATEFL online Jobs Market once full payment has been received, and for a period of no less than 31 days. IATEFL may also share the posting, or details of it, on its social media platforms as it sees appropriate.
- Job postings for the Careers Fair will be posted on the Jobs Board during the period of the annual conference, as well as being posted online in the IATEFL Jobs Market.
- IATEFL will provide a link to the recruiter’s website for further information or to apply for a position, but will not store or process candidate details or applications, or get involved in arranging or carrying out any part of an interview or selection process.
- Jobs posts must be for authentic jobs of reasonable quality, and must include adequate and accurate details of the post, associated conditions as well as the employer.
- Jobs posts will not be placed until full payment has been received from the Recruiter.
- By submitting a posting, the recruiter is authorising IATEFL to post such a vacancy along with any other advertising of the posting undertaken by IATEFL.
Disclaimers
- IATEFL takes no responsibility for the quality or accuracy of applications received by the recruiter as a result of posting a job with IATEFL.
- IATEFL cannot guarantee that the website, or any content, will always be available, or be uninterrupted, free from errors or omissions.
Compliance
- The recruiter accepts that all adverts must comply with United Kingdom legislation in respect of discrimination, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Equality Act 2010. Jobs adverts must not be directly or indirectly discriminatory on the basis of gender (unless a genuine occupational need), ethnic background, native language, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, age or disability.
- The term ‘native speaker’ should not be used in any job placed with IATEFL. The term ‘high level of English proficiency’ or reference to levels on the CEFR are deemed acceptable.
- The Recruiter undertakes not to submit in any job posting, or on a website linked to from the job posting, any material which is illegal, defamatory, offensive, fraudulent, violent, obscene or sexually explicit.
- You may not use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead us or any other user of the website as to the origin of any content.
- Recruiters should be aware of IATEFL’s Privacy Policy, and IATEFL expects the recruiter to treat any applicant’s personal data in accordance with GDPR regulations. The recruiter will be the data controller for any and all such personal data.
- IATEFL reserves the right to edit as it sees fit, or remove, any job posting which is deemed to have breached UK regulations or these terms.
Cancellation
- This agreement shall become effective from the date of the order being received by IATEFL, and will remain in effect until all responsibilities set out in these terms are fulfilled.
- Confirmation of receipt of a job posting by IATEFL acts as a binding agreement and cancellation at any time after such confirmation being sent will incur the full package cost.
- IATEFL may terminate this agreement at any time by notifying the recruiter in writing or by email. Upon such termination IATEFL shall determine if any or all fees shall be returned to the Recruiter, depending on the specific circumstances.
Miscellaneous
- This agreement is separate and distinct from any other contract the recruiter may enter into with IATEFL, including advertising, sponsorship or exhibitor agreements.
- These terms, and any contracts between us and you created between IATEFL and the recruiter shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine all matters arising hereunder.
