MaWSIG Meets TESOL Spain: the what, the why and the how of writing a Teacher’s book.

Join IATEFL Materials Writing Special Interest Group (MaWSIG) and Annie Altamirano for this online event.

When it comes to creating materials for use in a variety of international contexts, teachers’ books have been discussed far less than the related coursebooks for students.

This webinar will be aimed at explaining why the teacher’s book is as important as the other components of a coursebook pack, what is involved in writing a teacher’s book for use in various international contexts, the challenges we face when writing for such diverse contexts and how to overcome context- / cultural- specific issues.

Annie Altamirano (MA ELT & Applied Linguistics, University of London) is a freelance author, trainer and mentor. For over 20 years, she has worked with a wide range of publishers and written materials for children, adolescents and adults. Her latest published work includes Cambridge Global English Teacher’s Resource, 2nd ed. and Cambridge IGCSE™ English (as an Additional Language) Digital Teacher’s Resource both published by Cambridge University Press.
