Our theme of 2023 and our first face to face conference since March 2020, is “Km0, The Road Ahead
Together” , and we hope it will be both a celebration of the opportunity to come together as a
community of teachers, and a recognition of the exciting challenges ahead, as we absorb the lessons
learned in the last three years, recognize the importance of language as a unifying force in an often
fractured world, and define our objectives as we move forward.
We are very pleased to be able to offer participants who can’t make it to Madrid the possibility of joining
us online for the plenary and keynote sessions throughout the weekend, but those of us who will be
there in person are not only looking forward to the varied programme of talks, presentations and
workshops but also to socializing and networking, meeting new and old friends and sharing ideas and
experiences about the conference. And everyone who has signed up for the convention can keep
abreast of what’s going on via our paper-free convention-programme app, MyHub.
