LTSIG 2014 Nick Turner – Lesson learned from a language MOOC pilot (IATEFL, Harrogate, 2014)

This is a presentation given during the SIG day at the IATEFL annual conference in Harrogate, 2014. The abstract stated that: "MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) have been lauded within higher education as a means of democratising education and have led to many big university players jumping on the bandwagon. This presentation looks at the pedagogical and practical considerations of applying MOOC concepts to a language learning course that was run in 2013 and some of the lessons that were learned."
