IATEFL refer a friend scheme

We believe an IATEFL membership is truly worthwhile and we hope you do too, enough to tell your friends, colleagues and fellow ELT community about it.

How do I refer people?

It is so easy to refer a friend. As the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said; “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”.

1. All you have to do is send them a message, we have compiled one below if you want to use this, telling them about IATEFL membership and what you get out of it.

"Hey, have you heard about IATEFL. They are a membership association for English language teaching professionals around the world. Their membership is so worthwhile. The benefits include monthly news updates, a member magazine, discounts on publications, courses and events, a busy programme of online and face-to-face events, 16 Special Interest Groups to join, and much more. You'll be part of a global community of teachers! For more details about the member benefits offered, as well as membership types and cost involved, just go here: www.iatefl.org/get-involved/membership.  If you decide to join the IATEFL family too, please do mention that I recommended you."

Then if they choose to become a member, they just need to need to enter your name into the 'Refer a friend' box when they complete the membership form.

What are the rewards for referrals for me?

A chance to win a year's FREE IATEFL membership.

How does it work?

Once a month, everyone who has been named in the 'Refer a friend' box of any new memberships, and who has been a member themselves for at least two months, will be entered into a prize draw. If you are the lucky winner then we will contact you to let you know that we are extending your IATEFL membership for one year for free!

Happy sharing.
