Notes

  • There is normally one Coordinator per SIG, but if necessary, Joint SIG Coordinators may be elected. The same criteria and procedures for the appointment of a SIG Coordinator also apply for Joint SIG Coordinators. Ideally, two people interested in becoming Joint SIG Coordinators should submit their application and nominations form together as one application of 300 words, outlining how they propose to work together for the SIG and how they will divide up the responsibilities of the SIG Coordinator, as soon as they take up their positions. They must determine their various duties and agree these with the rest of the SIG Committee and the SIG Rep, and inform Head Office about this. The SIG Committee and the IATEFL Treasurer should ensure that the cost of Joint SIG Coordinators does not place an undue financial burden on SIG funds.
  • Applications will be read by the PronSIG Coordinator and other members of the committee, and will be assessed against the criteria set in the job description above.
  • Successful candidates will be notified by Sunday 19 April 2020.
  • In the event of there being more than one candidate for the position, an election will be held electronically by IATEFL from 20 - 26 April 2020.
