Apply For The IATEFL Latin America Scholarship

This scholarship was set up by the IATEFL Board of Trustees with funds generated by the IATEFL Conference itself. Its aim is to help a teacher or teacher trainer from a Latin American country to attend the IATEFL Conference for the first time.

The scholarship consists of:

• registration for a Pre-Conference Event of the winner’s choice
• registration for the IATEFL Conference
• a year’s IATEFL membership
• GBP 1800.00 towards accommodation, expenses, and travel costs

To qualify you must:

• be a native of and normally resident in a Latin American country
• be a practising teacher or teacher trainer in primary, secondary or tertiary education
• have not previously attended the IATEFL Conference
• agree to write a 250 – 500-word article by the end of May 2025 for possible publication in IATEFL Voices. You may like to write about the highlights of the conference or about how attending the conference has affected your approach to work in your home country.
