ESPSIG: ESP in the world of tomorrow - academic & professional perspectives

The world in which we are living, studying, teaching and researching is constantly evolving. This is particularly true for the field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), where there are constant changes in the professional context upon which our ESP input is based. This means that the methodology and activities we employ to meet the specific needs of our learners must also evolve to be sure of achieving the status quo.

In order to examine this issue further, our PCE theme this year considers the field of ESP and the changes, opportunities and challenges it may face in the future from two main perspectives: ESP in tertiary level education contexts, and in professional contexts.

The format of the PCE day comprises talks and workshops, as well as round table discussions based on each of these. Participants will have the opportunity to interact and share their research throughout the event, which is reflected in the format.
