How to submit your proposal
1. Log into your IATEFL Dashboard
Go to www.iatefl.org and click ‘Login’. If you have never logged in before then creating a new account is quick, free and easy to do. Once you are logged in you will automatically be taken to your IATEFL Dashboard.
2. Check your membership
You can see your current membership status and join or renew a membership on the right-hand side of your IATEFL Dashboard. You must be a current member of IATEFL in order to submit a proposal.
3. Make a full conference booking
Click 'Book for the full conference' in the ‘International Conference’ block on your IATEFL Dashboard and complete the booking form. You don’t need to make a payment at this stage, you can select ‘Pay later’ if you would prefer to wait for the result of your proposal before paying. Please note, it must be a full conference booking and not a single day booking.
4. Complete the proposals form
Return to your Dashboard and click on the 'Proposals' box to be taken to the proposals form. Complete the proposal form using the Speaker Guidelines to guide you through each step of the form. Once you have submitted you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your proposal for reference. If you have not received this email, we have not received your proposal. Please check your junk/spam folder.
5. Add your joint speakers
If you are doing a joint presentation, return to your IATEFL Dashboard and click on the ‘Proposals’ box once more. You will then be taken to a form to add your joint presenters. To do this you will need to have the Personal ID(s) of any joint presenters and they must have a full conference booking in place. They can find their personal ID on the IATEFL Dashboard. You must do this before the proposal deadline of 16.00 (UK time) Wednesday 21 September 2022.
6. Wait for the results
The results of your proposal will be emailed to you in December 2022. Please keep an eye on your junk/spam folder during this time. If you are successful you, and any of your joint speakers, will need to pay the full conference fee by 21 December 2022 to secure your place in the programme.
Information for Main Instituional Member Contacts
It is important to note that each person submitting a proposal must have their own IATEFL Dashboard. You will not be able to create a booking or proposal submission for someone else on your IATEFL Dashboard. Doing this will overwrite the information on your account, including the name and email address.
Main Institutional Member Contacts can add and remove members to the institution via their IATEFL Dashboard. It is not necessary for the administrator to be listed as a member here, unless they also want to access the membership benefits.
Send the above instructions to each person submitting a proposal as they will need to submit their own work on their own IATEFL Dashboard.
