Dear ,

We are very excited to invite you to the next IATEFL TEASIG event, which will be held online on Saturday, 25 September from 14.00 – 18.00 (UK time). The topic is ‘Lessons learnt from online assessment practices under Covid-19’, which we believe is not only highly interesting, but also very relevant in today’s times.

The speakers are:

  • Lynda Taylor: ‘Metaphors we test by’ – talking about language testing and assessment in the public domain
  • Toni Mäkipää: Foreign language teachers’ assessment practices in emergency remote teaching in Finland
  • Neil Bullock: Adapting to an ever-changing world – the challenges for workplace language proficiency learning and assessment during and after COVID
  • Dina Tsagari, Asma Maaoui and Hanen Dammak: Teachers’ assessment literacy and COVID-19: Challenges and prospects
  • Emma Bruce and Heléna Stakounis: Emergency remote assessment in the UK EAP sector: Challenges, innovations and opportunities

The day will be rounded off with a panel discussion between participants and speakers as well as the chance to pit your wits against fellow participants in the TEASIG quiz!

This event will also give you the opportunity to meet the TEASIG Committee and find out how you can volunteer to support the aims of the SIG.

The event is free of charge and open to everyone. All presentations will be recorded and available to TEASIG members in the “My resources” member area on the IATEFL website.

For further details, including presentation abstracts and speakers’ bios and how to register, go to https://tea.iatefl.org/ forthcoming-teasig-events/ or follow us on social media via Facebook, twitter and Instagram.

We are looking forward to meeting you online in September!
