IP&SENSIG and LTSIG joint conference: Inclusion through technology

Brief summary of the SIG event

Join the IATEFL Inclusive Practices & Special Educational Needs SIG and the IATEFL Learning Technologies SIG for this joint conference.

The different sessions seek to inspire English teachers when teaching learners with specific learning differences (SpLD) using learning technologies. Through these presentations, we aim to show how technology can be used as a vehicle for building and supporting students with learning disabilities, helping them thrive, providing them with different opportunities to participate and succeed in the learning process. Assistive technology may be one way of helping students with learning difficulties in various ways.

This event will include talks about technology to support the visually or hearing impaired (face-to-face or online); apps to support learning in an online environment; the use of technology and assistive technology in English language teaching to learners with SpLD; maintaining student and teacher well-being through or when using technology. You'll also have the opportunity to network with others.
