The conference is organized by AINET Association of English Teachers and the A.S. Hornby Educational Trust.
The conference will be held online on 10 and 11 March 2023 (13:00–16:00 GMT each day).
In December 2022, the first Decentrling ELT conference took forward an initiative launched by the Hornby Trust in 2018 to deepen understanding and raise awareness of the potential value of ‘decentring’ ELT (a summary report of the conference and links to recordings of the sessions are available via the following link https://www.hornby-trust.org.uk/decentring-elt).
The second Decentring ELT conference will enable us to continue to:
- invite wider reflection/consultation on the notion of ‘decentring’ ELT
- identify and analyse examples of decentring ELT worldwide
- inspire further activity in this area
