TD SIG Articulating Development Scholarship
This scholarship is for a teacher to attend the IATEFL Conference for the first time and to have the opportunity to be published in the Teacher Development SIG Newsletter.
This scholarship, funded by the IATEFL Teacher Development Special Interest Group, is for a teacher to attend the main IATEFL Conference for the first time and to have the opportunity to be published in the Teacher Development SIG Newsletter. It will be awarded to someone who is interested in exploring their own development and writing about it so that others can share their insights.
The award consists of:
- A conference registration
- £500 for conference-related expenses
To qualify you must:
- be a member of IATEFL and of the Teacher Development SIG
- be questioning about your teaching and willing to learn.
- be good at articulating your thoughts and arranging them in written form and able to meet deadlines.
- undertake to write three short articles for the TD SIG Newsletter recording your development as a teacher in the year following the conference. You are asked to focus on how your experiences at the conference have furthered your development.
To be considered you should apply online including:
- an article between 400 and 500 words on the developmental high points so far in your career (this article also may be published in the TD SIG Newsletter)
- a brief curriculum vitae highlighting any writing experience (2 sides A4 maximum)
- a passport size photograph (for inclusion in the conference programme if you win)
The submission date is 22nd August 2011. You will be informed about the award around the end of September 2011.
