TD SIG Articulating Development Scholarship
This new scholarship, funded by the IATEFL Teacher Development Special Interest Group, is for a teacher to attend the main IATEFL Conference for the first time and to have the opportunity to be published in the Teacher Development SIG Newsletter and in IATEFL Voices. It will be awarded to someone who is interested in exploring their own development and writing about it so that others can share their insights.
The award consists of:
- A conference registration
- £500 for conference-related expenses
To qualify you must:
- be a member of IATEFL and of the Teacher Development SIG
- be questioning about your teaching and willing to learn.
- be good at articulating your thoughts and arranging them in written form and able to meet deadlines.
- undertake to write three short articles for the TD SIG Newsletter recording your development as a teacher in the year following the conference. You are asked to focus on how your experiences at the conference have furthered your development.
To be considered you should send electronically:
- an article of between 300 and 400 words on the developmental high points so far in your career (this article also may be published in the TD SIG Newsletter)
- a brief curriculum vitae highlighting any writing experience
- a passport size photograph (for inclusion in the conference programme if you win)
