Teamwork: a magical mixture of life competencies

An IATEFL monthly webinar presented by Palmina La Rosa

This session is about life competencies in the context of team work and project-based learning.
During the webinar, we will look at the difference between teaching and coaching and groups and teams. We will investigate what life competencies team members need to be able to use, for example creative thinking, communication, problem solving and collaborative skills and how the teacher can support their development.
Participants will learn about the unique elements of diversity and inclusion in teams. They will also practice innovative techniques and activities that will help them enhance their team competencies from the team planning process to teamwork assessment.
We will explore various coaching techniques to nurture relationships among team members and to enhance their learning process when working with teams. We will look at how to:
• change the dynamics of the language classroom;
• enable the team to deliver on their purpose and strategy;
• coach students to become an effective learning team.
The content of the webinar is relevant for English teachers who teach teenagers and young adults.
